Forgotten password to Reckon Accounts company file

Question

I have forgotten my password to my Reckon Accounts company file.  What can I do to reset it?

 

Answer

Your password to your company file is written into your company file.  You can only  change the password inside the company file.

 

Solutions:

Multiple users and you are not the Admin user

Ask the Admin user to change your password.

 

Single or Admin user

Try to remember your password.  Consider these variations:

·         Caps Lock on or off?

·         Initial letter is a capital

·         Underscores where spaces usually are

·         Letters replaced with numbers or symbols - e.g. 5 used for the letter S; @ for the letter A

·         Spaces at the end or beginning of the password string

 

If you are still unsuccessful, then you will need to utilise Reckon’s Password Removal Service.  Go to the Data Services website : https://www.reckonlimited.com.au/dataservices/

and follow the instructions to “Request a Service”.
