Error code -4 qbw32.exe path is empty

Question

Why does 'Error code 4 qbw32.exe path is empty' appear when posting or transfering? 

Answer

This occurs when posting to Reckon Accounts and/or when transferring from Reckon Accounts to POS.

This is happening because the installation of Reckon Accounts has been moved and this path hasn't been updated in the windows registry.

To resolve this problem;

1) In POS Admin select Tools menu > Options.

2) Click the 'General' tab.

3) Click 'Change' in the 'Reckon Accounts Data File' field and set the correct path to the Reckon Accounts file.

4) Click 'OK' to save these changes.
