Question

Why is my Datalogic Touch 65 scanner not functioning correctly?

Answer

To test if the scanner is functioning correctly, open NotePad. To do this;

- From the Windows Start Menu, select All Programs > Accessories > NotePad.

The correct function should display a tilda symbol (~), the barcode number(123456789) and a carriage return (the cursor to return to the left side on the next line, shown in the example below:

If you are not experiencing this, refer to the DataLogic Touch 65/90 Light Quick Reference Guide.

From the barcodes displayed, locate 'DATA FORMAT TERMINATORS'

- Scan the 'Enter' barcode. (The scanner will beep twice)

To test if it has been programmed correctly, scan any product barcode.

It should now display a tilda, barcode number and the carriage return.
